Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Global Finance Senior Associate Attorney / Of Counsel to join a premier global law firm's expanding Global Finance Practice in New York, New York. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior finance attorney to work on sophisticated financing transactions for leading bank and non-bank lenders, including private credit and private debt funds.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience leading complex finance transactions and advising clients on a wide range of credit arrangements in a fast-paced, collaborative practice.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent banks, non-bank lenders, private credit funds, and other financial institutions in complex financing transactions.
Structure, negotiate, and execute a broad range of credit facilities and finance transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit agreements, security documents, and related transaction documents.
Lead transaction teams from inception through closing while managing client relationships.
Advise clients on sophisticated financing structures and strategic legal issues.
Coordinate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the finance practice.
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
At least 7 years of experience handling complex finance transactions at a leading law firm.
Significant experience with syndicated lending, private credit, leveraged finance, or other sophisticated credit arrangements.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex financing transactions.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client management skills.
Strong business judgment and a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
Active admission to the New York Bar and good standing.

CompensationSalary Range: $420,000–$460,000 annually, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
