Mid-Level Litigation Associate (Commercial) New York
Job Description
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate for its New York office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of experience in general commercial litigation, looking to handle a broad range of matters in both state and federal courts.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and assist with all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through resolution
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and motions
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other documents
Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions
Advise and assist clients on matters involving real estate, finance, and other commercial disputes (preferred)
Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams on strategy, trial preparation, and case management
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in New York
5–7 years of general commercial litigation experience
Experience in New York State and federal courts
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Trial experience is a plus, but not required
Large law firm experience strongly preferred
Real estate and finance litigation experience is a plus
Estimated salary range: $250,000 – $280,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
