Mid-Level Litigation Associate – New York, NY

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate for its New York office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of experience in general commercial litigation, looking to handle a broad range of matters in both state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and assist with all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through resolution

  • Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and motions

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other documents

  • Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions

  • Advise and assist clients on matters involving real estate, finance, and other commercial disputes (preferred)

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams on strategy, trial preparation, and case management

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in New York

  • 5–7 years of general commercial litigation experience

  • Experience in New York State and federal courts

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Trial experience is a plus, but not required

  • Large law firm experience strongly preferred

  • Real estate and finance litigation experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated salary range: $250,000 – $280,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
