Private Wealth Services Associate (1+ Years) – Austin, TX (Onsite)
Full-Time | Estate Planning | Competitive Compensation + Bonus

Direct Counsel represents a well-regarded Am Law firm seeking a Private Wealth Associate to join its Austin office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.

You’ll take on meaningful responsibility early, advising clients on complex tax and estate matters in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and draft estate planning documents, including wills and revocable/irrevocable trusts
  • Advise on gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning
  • Manage trust and estate administration matters
  • Draft documents for transfers of business interests, real estate, and other assets
  • Handle trust modifications, decantings, mergers, and terminations
  • Conduct research on multi-jurisdictional and cross-border estate planning issues

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1+ years of trusts & estates or private wealth experience
  • Experience with estate planning and/or trust administration
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex matters
  • Experience in a law firm setting preferred
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Active Texas Bar admission (or eligibility) required
