Litigation Associate Attorney – Austin, TX

Direct Counsel is representing a prestigious Am Law 100 global law firm seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Austin office. This full-time opportunity allows the associate to work on complex commercial and business litigation matters across a variety of industries and practice areas.

The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of litigation experience and be prepared to handle high-stakes matters while receiving mentorship and career development within a nationally recognized practice group.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex commercial and business litigation matters, including antitrust, construction, product liability, real estate, financial services, and energy disputes.

  • Take depositions and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.

  • Brief and argue dispositive and discovery motions.

  • Interface with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

  • Support mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as needed.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case management.


Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of relevant litigation experience at a law firm.

  • Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local procedural rules.

  • Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Experience with mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus.

  • Active Texas State Bar membership in good standing.
