Professional Engineer (PE)

A civil engineering firm in New Bern, NC is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead design and technical delivery on civil engineering projects. This role combines hands-on technical engineering with project leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design and technical analysis across assigned projects
• Review and stamp engineering plans and calculations in accordance with state licensure requirements
• Serve as technical lead on project teams, coordinating with other disciplines and client stakeholders
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs
• Support business development through client relationships and technical proposals as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or ability to obtain reciprocity
• 5+ years of relevant civil engineering design experience
• Strong technical knowledge in relevant civil design disciplines (site/civil, land development, or public infrastructure)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
