$235,000 – $365,000 annually
A leading global law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Environmental Practice in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated environmental litigation, regulatory, and infrastructure matters for clients across a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities- Advise clients on environmental regulatory compliance and administrative law matters
- Support litigation and permitting matters involving major federal environmental statutes, including:
- NEPA
- Endangered Species Act
- Clean Water Act
- Handle complex environmental and infrastructure-related matters
- Conduct legal research, draft motions and regulatory filings, and support strategic case development
- Collaborate with attorneys across multidisciplinary environmental and regulatory matters
- 2–5 years of environmental litigation and regulatory experience
- Strong knowledge of administrative law and federal environmental statutes
- Experience with infrastructure and permitting matters under federal regulatory programs
- Experience involving chemicals, pesticides, consumer products, or emerging contaminants is a plus
- Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills
- Ability to manage matters independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Strong academic credentials and professional references required
