Brinton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence while providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatments and interventions as outlined in individualized care plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and functional independence.

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

  • Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety practices.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic treatment environment.

  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and professional practice standards.

Qualifications
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
