Senior Accountant
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Build a thorough understanding of the firm's private investment offerings, including fund terms, fee methodologies, and performance-related calculations.
• Oversee accounting records for funds and affiliated entities by coordinating with fund administrators and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and completely.
• Prepare financial analyses, projections, and custom reporting to support business needs and leadership decision-making.
• Address information requests from current and prospective investors with clear, accurate, and timely responses.
• Draft financial statements and examine supporting schedules in preparation for the annual U.S. audit process.
• Partner with external tax advisors to support yearly tax return preparation and required filings.
• Review investor-specific provisions, side arrangements, and contractual terms to help ensure ongoing compliance.
• Contribute to process enhancements, internal controls, and other operational priorities as business needs evolve.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution; CPA or active CPA candidate highly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with preference for backgrounds that include public accounting or private funds.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to interpret financial information prepared under tax or cash reporting frameworks.
• Strong analytical capability with experience reviewing financial records, tracing fund flows, and producing meaningful analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large or complex data sets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Experience improving processes and strengthening controls in a dynamic operating environment.
• Comfort with evolving technology and data-driven tools; exposure to AI-enabled solutions is a plus.
