Medical Assistant (Physician Practice)

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (Physician Practice) to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities may include:

• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records
• Collect laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians' instructions to patients
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Dispose of contaminated supplies
• Schedule patient appointments
• Send referral information to providers, facilities, hospitals
• Greet and check in patients arriving at clinic
• Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms
• Inventory medical, lab, or office supplies and equipment

• Previous experience in healthcare
• Familiarity with medical office procedures
