The endocrinology service line is supported by a multidisciplinary team including primary care providers, cardiology, nephrology, and nutrition services, ensuring comprehensive management of endocrine and metabolic disorders.


Position Summary

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) to join its growing outpatient-focused practice in Shelton, Connecticut.

This is a full-time, permanent position primarily focused on managing a wide range of endocrine conditions in an outpatient setting, with minimal inpatient responsibilities. The role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong patient panel within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders

Provide comprehensive outpatient care with a focus on long-term disease management and prevention

Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate patient care

Interpret diagnostic tests including hormone assays, imaging, and metabolic studies

Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medication management, and disease prevention

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices


Qualifications

Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Training: Residency in Internal Medicine; Fellowship in Endocrinology required

Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology

Licensure: Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure

Experience: Open to both experienced endocrinologists and new graduates/fellows

Skills: Strong clinical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
