Executive Assistant to Partner | San Francisco, CA | Up to $150,000 Base
Our client, a highly respected venture capital firm with a collaborative, low-ego culture, is seeking a polished and proactive Executive Assistant to support a busy Partner in its San Francisco office. This is a high-impact opportunity for an EA who enjoys working as a true business partner, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and brings sound judgment, discretion, and confidence to every interaction.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, intellectually curious, adaptable, and comfortable managing shifting priorities across time zones. This role is primarily onsite, with four days in the office and one day remote, and offers exposure to a dynamic Partner with a global focus, particularly within the cybersecurity space.
What You’ll Do
• Manage a complex, frequently changing calendar, prioritizing meetings and ensuring seamless scheduling across multiple time zones
• Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, logistics, and last-minute changes
• Process, track, and reconcile expenses accurately and on time
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal teams, founders, and external stakeholders
• Communicate clearly and professionally across teams to support alignment and smooth execution of priorities
• Anticipate needs, identify potential issues early, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Leverage technology and emerging tools, including AI, to improve efficiency and streamline workflows
• Provide general administrative support and assist with ad hoc projects as needed
• Maintain appropriate flexibility and responsiveness, including occasional accessibility outside standard business hours when required
What We’re Looking For
• 4–8 years of Executive Assistant experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, finance, technology, or another fast-paced professional environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands with confidence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong professionalism, discretion, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment
• Tech-savvy mindset with a genuine interest in learning new tools and systems
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach and comfort working in a low-ego environment
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
Compensation & Benefits
• Up to $150,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Generous discretionary bonus
• 20 days PTO annually, plus office closure between Christmas and New Year
