Store Assistant Manager

The Store Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the overall operation of a single retail location by directly assisting the Store Manager. This position involves staff supervision, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory and cash flow, and contributing to sales monitoring and loss prevention efforts. The Assistant Manager works weekday hours with some Saturdays utilizing POS systems to help maintain efficient store operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support store staff daily
• Maintain accurate inventory control and merchandising standards
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor sales performance and assist in sales reporting
• Manage cash handling and cash register operations securely
• Conduct employee training and facilitate team development
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage
• Utilize POS systems to streamline transactions and operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail or restaurant management experience
• ServSafe certification required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proven team leadership ability
• Experience with sales reporting and cash handling
