Registered Nurse Emergency Department - (RN) Overnight Shift

Position Summary:
The Emergency Department RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond rapidly in critical situations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses or injuries
- Prioritize patient care based on severity and clinical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
- Provide patient and family education with compassion and professionalism
- Respond effectively during medical emergencies and trauma situations
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact state eligibility)
Current BLS certification required
ACLS required or obtained within designated timeframe
PALS and TNCC preferred
Previous Emergency Department experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered
Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
