Dahlia Gardens at Aberdeen is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance and facility operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional and strong leader who takes pride in keeping a facility safe, functional, and well maintained. What You'll Do

As Maintenance Director, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and physical operations of the facility while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and oversee all facility maintenance operations

• Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff

• Develop and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program

• Coordinate and complete repairs throughout the facility

• Oversee building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance

• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and department priorities

• Inspect the facility and grounds regularly to identify maintenance and safety concerns

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers

• Ensure compliance with applicable Life Safety Code, fire safety, and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, generator testing, and required inspections

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Respond to facility emergencies and urgent maintenance issues when needed

• Help ensure the building and grounds remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, or building operations experience

• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working hands-on

• Ability to respond to facility emergencies when necessary

Healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred, but not required.
