Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary students with medical procedures, diagnostic tests, and patient care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian

  • Prepare patients for examinations, surgeries, and other procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times

  • Take and develop x-rays, perform laboratory tests, and collect biopsy samples

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments, medications, and test results

  • Provide emotional support and education to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about their pet's health

  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of patient care

  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Veterinary Technician, with a focus on small animal care

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pet owners, veterinarians, and other team members

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

  • Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and technology
