Job Title: Maintenance Director (Confidential Healthcare Facility)
Position Summary
A well-established healthcare facility is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Director to lead the daily operations of our Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the facility is safe, compliant, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, implement, and oversee all maintenance department operations, programs, and activities
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Life Safety Code standards
Develop, review, and update departmental policies, procedures, and job descriptions annually
Prepare and manage departmental budgets, including staffing and operational costs
Train and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures
Oversee preventive maintenance programs and respond to unplanned repairs efficiently
Manage a wide range of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
Develop and maintain documentation for preventive maintenance procedures and equipment care
Schedule staff, assign work orders, and manage department workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks
Perform additional duties as needed to support facility operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance, plant operations, or a related field
Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
Valid driver’s license required
