SUMMARY
Learn to operate assigned production unit(s) to meet production schedules in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work safely at all times and perform necessary housekeeping. Keep personal safety and that of others always as the top value.
- Under guidance of Trainer/Supervisor, learn to perform duties as required but not limited to:
- Becoming proficient in the safe operation of the West Plant
- Mixing multiple chemicals per specifications
- Proper and safe sampling of batches
- Monitoring tank levels, pH levels and some analysis
- Learning the proper safe method to set up and fill various containers, ie drums, pales, totes
- Learning the proper method for loading LTL trucks and overseas containers
- Accurately measuring and recording all data into various checklists, log sheets and log books
- Make correct decisions to ensure there are no injuries or environmental incidents
- Successfully complete the plant's Safety Orientation
- Complete batch operation calculations and order fulfillment
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing duties to reach the next level on the job ladder
- Communicate changes made by management
- Understand and follow emergency shutdown procedures
- Continuously improve our commitment to excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security performance
- other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Able to understand the operation of production unit(s)
- Able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors and keep required work schedules
This position has no supervisory responsibility
- Able to work an agreed upon standard rotating shift schedule and overtime as required
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy

- May be in an environment where toxic chemicals are present.
- Work in chemical plant may include exposure to materials such as caustic, strong acids and hydrocarbons, potential for H2S exposure and requirements for additional testing (e.g. PPE, drug)
