Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Plumbing Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key representative of RKS Plumbing & Mechanical Inc., responsible for maintaining the high standards of service and technical excellence our clients expect. You will work on a variety of residential & commercial systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

%CF; Technical Diagnosis: Expertly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing fixtures, piping, and drainage systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.

%CF; System Maintenance: Perform professional replacements or upgrades of residential & commercial plumbing components as required by project needs.

%CF; Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service calls, preventative maintenance activities, and completed repairs.

%CF; Fleet Management: Safely operate and maintain a company-provided service vehicle, ensuring it remains clean and properly stocked with necessary equipment.

%CF; Professional Communication: Act as a primary point of contact, communicating effectively with customers, facility managers, and internal teams regarding system status and project updates.

%CF; Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.

Experience

Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing residential & commercial plumbing systems.

Licensing

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Required).

Skills

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude with strong knowledge of electrical components, and experience with soldering, brazing, running jetters and sewer machines.

Physical

Ability to lift heavy equipment and work comfortably in varied physical environments.

Professionalism

Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Availability

Willing to be on call after hours, weekends & holidays.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

%CF; Preferred candidates must have knowledge working with high-efficiency water heaters, backflow preventers, and commercial sewage & storm pumps (lift stations).
