Busser

Summary of Position:

A busser waters, sets and clears tables. Such duties must be performed in a conscientious and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. A Bus Person should be sociable and must follow directions.

Essential Functions:

1. Checks and replenishes server stations for adequate stock of silverware, dishes, ice, condiments (i.e.salt, pepper, sugar, etc.) Stocks needed items.

1. Checks each table for complete settings.

1. Checks dining area and maintains high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping for all stations in the inside dining areas, or outside deck as assigned.

1. Greets guest and fills water glasses.

1. Clears and sorts dishware and silverware into appropriate bus tubs at stations or within kitchen. Moves filled bus tubs to dish station and replaces with empty, clean tub.

1. Keeps stations clean and adequately stocked throughout shift; keeps place settings organized and ready to go.

1. As guests depart, clears and resets the table as quickly as possible.

1. Checks with MOD before leaving.

Other Functions:

1. Assists in guest services as directed by food server (only if such services do not conflict with the basic functions of the bus person and limitations set by hostess or F&B manager).

1. Performs post sidework and other duties as directed by the manager.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to follow directions.

1. Must possess physical stamina; able to bend, squat, lift and carry up to 50lbs.

1. Previous job experience is helpful - on the job training available.

1. Food Handler’s Card required prior to starting.
