Field Technician

Position Summary: This positions responsibility is for the installation, troubleshooting and repair of Zenner products primarily in North America.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience servicing AMR/AMI equipment
• Must have successfully field installed and maintained a fixed network AMI product
• Must have experience working with sub-contractors.
• Must have good communications skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Percentage of Time

Install, debug and maintain all Zenner products.

50%

Provide high end troubleshooting and repairs while maintaining quality assurance on Zenners entire product line.

15%

Regularly assists customers, resellers and Zenner sales personnel with product support to solve operating problems through telephone communication or field visits

10%

Conducts technical training programs with resellers and customers as required

10%

Prepares technical reports for customers and management as required

5%

Assists with the field testing of new products to ensure performance reliability

5%

All other duties as assigned
