Lead Toddler Teacher

The Goddard School of Flemington is seeking a caring, energetic, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where toddlers can thrive.

Hours: 9 am - 6:00 pm

8:30 am - 5:30 pm

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with The Goddard School's Wonder of Learning™ curriculum.
• Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on, play-based learning experiences.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets all state licensing requirements.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
• Complete daily classroom observations, assessments, and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's daily activities, milestones, and developmental progress using the school's communication platform.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers to ensure a collaborative and positive classroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Encourage independence, curiosity, and confidence while supporting each child's individual learning style.

• Minimum of one year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build positive relationships with families.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Diapering and toileting.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
