As a Cook, you'll play an important role in providing nutritious, great-tasting meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diets.
Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area.
Properly label, date, and store food items.
Monitor food quality and portion control.
Work closely with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure excellent meal service.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
Follow all state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
Previous cooking experience required.
Experience in a nursing home, healthcare, or institutional kitchen is preferred.
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
