Compensation: $180,000-$210,000 annually, DOE, plus annual performance and additional long-term incentive opportunities
Location: Cypress, California
Work Model: Hybrid — three days per week on-site

A large, established industrial distribution and manufacturing enterprise is launching a significant modernization of its Finance application landscape. Operating across multiple business units, the organization is investing in scalable platforms, stronger process integration, improved data governance, and a unified technology roadmap.
This newly created leadership position offers the opportunity to shape the Finance Applications strategy from the beginning, influence enterprise technology decisions, and build a roadmap that supports long-term operational growth.
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Finance Applications will lead the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing evolution of Finance and back-office systems across a complex enterprise. This leader will partner closely with Finance, technology, data, and business stakeholders to establish the roadmap, guide transformation initiatives, and improve integration and process consistency across multiple operating groups.
The ideal candidate combines deep Finance Applications expertise with enterprise resource planning implementation leadership, strong financial-process fluency, and the ability to influence executives while developing a high-performing applications team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise Finance Applications strategy and multiyear roadmap.
- Lead the delivery and ongoing enhancement of enterprise resource planning platforms, workflow tools, and supporting software-as-a-service applications.
- Oversee multi-ERP Finance implementations spanning General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Application.
- Build business cases, return-on-investment models, and executive recommendations for Finance technology modernization.
- Partner with Controllers, Financial Planning and Analysis, Shared Services, Treasury, and other Finance leaders to improve end-to-end processes.
- Lead deployment planning, testing, data conversion, cutover, stabilization, and post-implementation support.
- Guide system integration through application programming interfaces, middleware, and modern integration frameworks.
- Drive process standardization across multiple business units while respecting operational requirements.
- Lead financial data governance, master data management, data quality, automation, and analytics initiatives.
- Develop a team of application analysts, functional specialists, and technical subject-matter experts.
- Manage technology vendors, statements of work, budgets, delivery commitments, and service-level performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Approximately 12-15 years of progressive information-technology applications experience with substantial ownership of Finance and back-office systems.
- Demonstrated leadership of enterprise-scale Finance ERP implementations across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Application.
- Experience operating across multiple ERP platforms in a large, complex enterprise environment.
- Deep understanding of Finance processes and a record of leading technology transformation, modernization, and process optimization.
- Experience leading within a decentralized or federated organization supporting multiple business units.
- Strong knowledge of financial data structures, data governance, master data management, and data-quality practices.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, managing performance, and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Cypress three days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Finance Applications leadership within industrial distribution, manufacturing, building products, or similarly transaction-intensive environments.
- Experience supporting global Finance operations or multi-region shared services.
- Knowledge of integration middleware such as Boomi, MuleSoft, SAP Process Integration / Process Orchestration, or Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or comparable process-improvement frameworks.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor, or comparable cloud-first ERP platforms.
