Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems (pumps, tanks, filtration, chemical feed systems).
Perform routine water sampling, testing, and analysis.
Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes to maintain proper water quality.
Inspect and troubleshoot system issues, equipment malfunctions, and alarms.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, and related equipment.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations (EGLE and local standards).
Monitor chemical inventory and ensure proper handling/storage procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
1–2+ years of wastewater, environmental, or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Training will be provided.
Strong mechanical aptitude (pumps, motors, valves, plumbing systems)
Ability to read gauges, meters, and basic technical documents.
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or metal finishing environments.
Familiarity with pH control, filtration systems, and chemical treatment processes.

Work Environment:

Industrial setting with exposure to water systems, chemicals, and production equipment.
Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
May require overtime or weekend availability based on production needs.
