Riverstreet Manor is a SMALL nursing facility in the heart of Wilkes Barre! Currently hiring for a full time HANDS ON Housekeeping/Laundry Services Manager! We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our exceptional team of caregivers!

Requirements of the Environmental Services Manager:

  • A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma.

  • 3 years experience and previous healthcare environmental services experience

  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Services Manager:

  • The primary purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards guidelines, and regulations governing our Facility and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our Facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

  • Develop and maintain written housekeeping and laundry services policies and procedures.

  • Assist the housekeeping and laundry staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.

  • Submit accident or incident reports to the Human Resources Department within twenty-four (24) hours after their occurrence.

  • Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job-related maintenance functions to ensure that tasks involving the potential exposure to blood or body fluids are properly identified and recorded.

  • Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility or janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control.

  • Review and develop a plan of correction for environmental services deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such to the Administrator.

  • Keep abreast of economic conditions or situations and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in maintenance services that assure the continued ability to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

  • Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., to assure control of equipment and supplies.

  • Ensure that services performed by outside vendors are properly completed or supervised in accordance with contracts or work orders.
