What You'll Do

Administrative assistants help keep an office running smoothly by performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks. Their responsibilities can include:

  • Communication: Answering and directing phone calls, responding to emails, and writing and distributing correspondence
  • Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Note-taking: Taking detailed meeting minutes and preparing meeting agendas
  • Filing: Creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Support: Providing general support to visitors and acting as a point of contact for clients
  • Supplies: Ordering office supplies and researching new deals and suppliers
  • Reports: Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and inputting and updating information in databases and spreadsheets
  • Policies: Updating and maintaining office policies and procedures

Administrative assistants should have a variety of skills to excel in their roles, including time management, computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication, organization, adaptability, problem-solving, customer service, multi-tasking, and confidentiality.



Requirements

2-Year experienced (required)

  • Entry-level

A high school diploma or Associate degree in the following::

  • Office administration, Business administration, Communications, Information technology, Human resources management, or Event planning.

Must have at least 6 month experience working with children.
