We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Payroll & HR Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting a variety of Human Resources and administrative functions. Pay is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on Experience

Responsibilities
  • Process mid-month, month-end, and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on time.
  • Verify payroll approvals prior to processing.
  • Ensure payroll taxes, 401(k) contributions, medical benefits, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance payments are completed by required deadlines.
  • Calculate monthly manager bonus worksheets and prepare month-end payroll accruals.
  • Maintain payroll, employee, I-9, benefits, and 401(k) records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Update employee personnel, tax, and payroll information as needed.
  • Provide employees with payroll-related forms, including direct deposit and W-4 documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding for new hires and ensure employee data is accurately entered into payroll and dealership management systems.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, job postings, onboarding, and benefits administration.
  • Own the Onboarding/Offboarding processes
  • Communicate with managers regarding new hires, terminations, employee concerns, and payroll-related issues.
  • Perform additional administrative and HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous payroll and Human Resources experience preferred. Accounting knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, and employee benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with payroll software and/or dealership management systems (DMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
