Material Specialist EPI I

Summary:

Receive, store, deliver, and ship material, equipment, and products within established guidelines by performing the following duties. This position regularly makes use of a forklift and/or other vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant. This position requires dexterity of hands and feet to feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

Primary Duties:

• Receive in finished goods and convey them to proper location
• Work with team leads to determine what components will be needed for the current run
• Comply with all safety rules according to company policy
• Research and recommend product and production improvements
• Assist other departments as needed
• Demonstrate and be able to assist

Level 1

• Certified forklift driver and crown
• Forklift Inspection report
• Ability to change propane tank
• Print SKU locations
• Identifying and looking up receipt ID
• Learning how to use hand scanner

Non-Essential Duties:

• Maintain order and cleanliness of warehouse(s)
• Secure warehouse at the end of each work day
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor

Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Forklift certification and six months minimum related experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job
