Location: Whitestown, IN (Conveniently located off I-65) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours/week) Compensation: $23.00 + per hour (Based on experience)

The Role
As a Survey Field Crew Technician, you will bridge the gap between our survey and design departments. You will work both independently and in small teams on diverse tasks, interacting regularly with staff, consultants, and clients under the guidance of our leadership team.
Please note: This is a field-first position. You must be comfortable working in variable weather conditions, walking long distances, and safely operating and maintaining power equipment daily.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Site Data Collection: Collect and gather accurate existing site conditions to be used in developing survey documents and as a foundational base for engineering site design.
- Data Management: Maintain properly collected, organized, and coded digital data from the field. Manage the seamless export and import of survey points between field data collectors and office design software.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power equipment, optical tools, and electronic data collectors safely and efficiently.
- Daily Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, safety checks, and daily maintenance on all assigned field surveying equipment and tools.
- Construction Staking: Perform calculations and assist in setting precise stakes and marks for small commercial, retail, industrial, and large residential or mixed-use development projects.
- Admin Support: Submit personal weekly timesheets on Factor A&E by Monday mornings at 9:00 AM.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a consistently positive working environment and provide clear communication with all company team members.
- General Duties: Perform other related field and office tasks as assigned.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (An Associate degree in Surveying is a strong plus).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with field data collection.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Mindset: A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a collaborative working environment.
