Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) on the Women’s Care Unit (WCU) in Clearlake, CA. This travel assignment starts 08/31/2026 and runs for 9 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,374 to $2,537. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: hospital in a travel, temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients across the age range served on the WCU: infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric, with a focus on care from childbearing through the neonatal period (infants up to 28 days old); coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Accurately charge for patients and unit supplies; administer and monitor medications, including narcotics, and IV fluids per policy and procedure.
- Perform age-appropriate assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and document patient status and responses in the medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the care team; provide patient and family education and support.
- Demonstrate emergency response capabilities, maintain safety and cleanliness of the unit, and handle urgent situations promptly and professionally.
- Provide leadership by directing and/or delegating tasks to other nursing staff who deliver direct patient care under supervision; ensure accurate handoffs and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- RN II, Women’s Care Unit (AHCL) designation or equivalent per job notes
- Experience or demonstrated ability to care for obstetric and neonatal patients and to work in a Women’s Care Unit environment
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour night shift schedule in a hospital setting
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; capable of documenting and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams
- Graduate of an approved nursing program
