JeePee’s Spaw is a fast‑growing, high‑standards pet grooming salon serving the Orange Park and Jacksonville communities. We are proud to offer our state-registered JeePee’s Spaw Groomer Apprentice Program (JGAP)—the very first of its kind in the grooming industry—designed to take motivated individuals from an entry-level bather all the way to a certified professional groomer!

We are seeking two dependable, detail‑oriented, and passionate Part‑Time Dog Bathers who are eager to grow. This role is not just a job—it is the first step on a dedicated career path. Outstanding bathers will have the opportunity to transition into our JGAP program, gaining hands-on experience alongside professional mentors.

• Prepare dogs for grooming services

• Bathe dogs and perform basic maintenance tasks such as ear and teeth cleaning

• Follow strict sanitary and cleaning procedures

• Ensure the safety and comfort of dogs at all times

• Clean kennels, tubs, and grooming areas as needed

• Assist with general salon and grooming support

• Evaluate and document pet progress during visits

• Complete 144 hours of structured, paid training toward professional certification

• Complete 1,000 to 2,000 of On-The-Job training.

• Maintain a clean, organized salon environment

• Professionally receive client concerns and route them to the appropriate team member

• Support the overall growth and success of JeePee’s Spaw

• Perform additional duties assigned by the Owner or Lead Groomer

• Must love working with dogs of all breeds and sizes

• Ability to lift, bathe, and handle dogs safely

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

• Prior bathing or grooming experience is a plus, but not required—we will train the right candidates!

• Must be able to work part‑time and maintain consistent attendance

• $14.00/hr starting pay

• 144 Hours of Paid Training and Certification through International Professional Groomers (IPG)

• Hands-on experience directly at the Spaw to master your craft

• Industry-First Recognition: Upon graduation, receive official designation as a Department of Education Certified JeePee's Spaw Groomer Apprentice Program (JGAP) Graduate—the first in the grooming industry!
