Floor Technician (Federal Custodial Services)

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift (approximately 20 hours/week) Compensation: Competitive hourly wage plus Service Contract Act (SCA) Health & Welfare fringe benefits.
Position Summary: Maintain hard floor and carpeted surfaces at a federal facility and assist with custodial duties as needed.
Essential Duties:

• Operate commercial floor equipment.
• Strip, scrub, buff, burnish, and refinish floors.
• Vacuum and maintain carpeted areas.
• Maintain entry mats.
• Assist with general custodial duties.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.

Follow safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Commercial floor care experience preferred
• Knowledge of floor finishes and equipment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Employment Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification.
• Must successfully complete any required background screening for access to a federal installation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain credentials required to work at a U.S. Government facility.
• Reliable attendance and professional conduct are required
