HVAC Service Technician

Holy City Heating & Air is looking for Service Technicians who consider themselves among the Best of the Best.

Located in Downtown Charleston, we are a full-service heating and air conditioning company specializing in residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and retrofit equipment. We are industry leaders in inverter HVAC technology as both a Daikin Elite Dealer and Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, offering advanced training and opportunities to work with the latest high-efficiency systems.

About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems in a timely and professional manner. While we strongly prefer experienced and formally trained technicians, we will also consider candidates with strong mechanical skills, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Job Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • 3–5 years of residential HVAC service experience

  • Ability to use Android/Apple devices for communication and field reporting

  • Commitment to completing all scheduled work each day

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation

  • Organized, outgoing, positive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong customer-service skills and ability to build client relationships

  • Ability to maneuver in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas

  • Ability to climb/descend ladders and lift up to 50 lbs

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Technician Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and ventilation equipment

  • Identify and document maintenance risks and equipment issues

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults

  • Perform clean, high-quality system repairs and warranty services

  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency service calls

  • Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to junior technicians

  • Maintain accurate service notes, daily logs, and required documentation

  • Ensure all work complies with codes, OSHA standards, and manufacturer guidelines

  • Follow company procedures, service standards, and customer requirements

  • Assist customers by answering questions and explaining system performance

Experience
  • HVAC Service: 3–5 years (Preferred)

Compensation

Hourly pay + Commission opportunities
$25.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience and performance
