Dietary Director

Location: Pilgrim Manor | Plymouth, IN

Pilgrim Manor is seeking a Dietary Director to lead the Dietary Department at our skilled nursing facility in Plymouth, IN.

As the Dietary Director, you will oversee all aspects of food service operations, ensuring meals are prepared and served in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. You will lead the dietary team, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and ensure residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.

Shift Available
  • Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dietary Department

  • Supervise dietary staff, including hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed

  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and approved food substitutions

  • Ensure meals are prepared according to standardized recipes and therapeutic diet orders

  • Monitor food quality, portion control, sanitation, and meal service standards

  • Review resident care plans to ensure dietary needs are being met

  • Provide nutrition counseling in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian

  • Maintain compliance with all food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and survey requirements

  • Manage inventory, food ordering, and departmental budgeting

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional resident care

Qualifications
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred

  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing dietary experience preferred

  • Prior dietary management or supervisory experience preferred

  • Current ServSafe Certification required

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local food service regulations

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
