Construction Warehouse Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to support operations within our traffic signal and underground utilities division. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are received, stored, and distributed accurately and efficiently to support field crews and project timelines, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized yard and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials (e.g., conduit, signal equipment, wiring, and hardware) for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders
• Organize and store inventory in designated yard and warehouse locations for easy access and efficient distribution
• Pick, stage, and prepare materials for job sites in accordance with project needs and company standards
• Load and unload delivery trucks and company vehicles using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts and stock audits
• Ensure yard and warehouse areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations and company policies
• Label, sort, and track materials to support job cost accuracy and field efficiency
• Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding damaged, missing, or incorrect materials

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects 50lbs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work early mornings.
