What You'll Do

As our Dietary Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department while ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing meals and excellent service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing dietary staff

  • Managing daily kitchen and dining operations

  • Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations

  • Collaborating with clinical teams to meet resident nutritional needs

  • Monitoring food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction

  • Managing department budgets and food costs

  • Ordering food, supplies, and inventory

  • Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards

  • Assisting with menu planning and special dining events

  • Supporting survey readiness and regulatory compliance efforts

  • Addressing resident and family concerns related to dining services

  • Creating a culture of hospitality and customer service throughout the department

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification

  • Knowledge of long-term care dietary regulations and nutritional standards

  • Experience leading and supervising staff

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices

Preferred Qualifications
  • Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience

  • Experience managing food budgets and inventory

  • Experience with survey preparation and regulatory compliance

  • Experience developing staff and department leaders

  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety certification
