S&L Hospitality along with Lundy's Ice Cream Shop in Fargo, ND., is now accepting applications for part time Ice Cream Scoopers!

We are looking for hard-working individuals with exceptional customer service skills who enjoy a fast paced, fun, flexible atmosphere and a love for premium ice cream.

Ideal candidates at this time would have availability to work weekday mornings during the school year. While you may not be scheduled daily during the week, having availability as early as 9:00am but likely to be scheduled with a start time of 10:30am or 11am. This position is a wonderful opportunity for those that may have morning, early lunch time availability.

This position may be eligible for tips.

Here's the scoop on being an Ice Cream Scooper:

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
  • Work as part of a team to provide the best possible product and customer experience.
  • Learn about our company, our history, and our premium ice cream products.
  • Become familiar with our flavors, ingredients, and allergen information to assist guests.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Communicate with team members and managers regarding inventory and operational needs.
  • Complete opening, closing, and shift checklists.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Follow all food safety and company safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including walk-in coolers and freezers.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

This position is subject to successful completion of a background check as it relates to the responsibilities of the role.
