Richfield Public School Academy, a charter school in Flint, MI, is hiring a Principal.

Richfield Public School Academy is a 'Leader in Me' school, focused on building student leaders that are successful both academically and behaviorally. We are looking for a principal with excellent leadership skills and a passion for education. To be successful as a principal, you must be compassionate and organized. A good principal manages the needs of both students and staff members to ensure that there is a productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

%CF; Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followed

%CF; Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional success

%CF; Helping teachers maximize their teaching potential

%CF; Meeting and listening to the concerns of students regularly

%CF; Encouraging, guiding, and assisting student leaders and teachers

%CF; Meeting with parents and administrators regularly for problem resolution

%CF; Enforcing discipline when necessary

%CF; Providing an atmosphere free of any bias in which students can achieve their maximum potential

Qualifications:

%CF; Master's Degree or higher in Education or related field

%CF; Valid Michigan Administrative Certificate for K-12 Education

%CF; 3-5 years experience as a principal or in a senior position at a school.

%CF; Experience in instructional leadership
