About the Role:

The LVN-Staffing Coordinator/Medical Records position plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless coordination of licensed vocational nursing staff and the accurate management of medical records within a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for balancing staffing needs with patient care demands, ensuring that all shifts are adequately covered by qualified personnel. Additionally, the position involves meticulous handling, organizing, and maintaining of patient medical records to support clinical operations and compliance with healthcare regulations. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between nursing staff, management, and medical records departments to facilitate efficient communication and workflow. Ultimately, this role contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care by optimizing staffing logistics and safeguarding the integrity of medical documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in Texas.
  • Proven experience in nursing staff coordination or scheduling within a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in ONLINE Scheeduling software: Onshift/Valid shift.
  • Familiarity with medical records management and healthcare documentation standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
  • Background in healthcare administration or medical office management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze staffing data and generate reports for management.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate scheduling and placement of LVN staff to meet patient care requirements and staffing policies.
  • Maintain and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, management, and other departments to address staffing needs and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Assist in onboarding and credential verification processes for new LVN hires.
  • Monitor and report on staffing metrics and medical records management performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
