CDL Class B - Waste Collection-Roll Off Driver

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, Roll Off, you operate a garbage truck to provide residential trash and recycling pickup within about 150 miles of home. You lift and carry residential waste and deposit it into a compactor, stay attentive to safety throughout the day, and report any defects, accidents, or violations. You inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to the management team. Each day, you're happy to be on the road and not stuck in an office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures
• Maneuver garbage trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report any and all defects, accidents, or violations
• Carry out other duties as needed or instructed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Class B driving experience
• No more than one moving violation on your MVR within the last 3 years
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• CDL Class A/B

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift and carry residential waste containers repeatedly throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, twisting, climbing in and out of the truck cab, and prolonged periods of sitting while driving
• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Shift is 10 to 12 hours, home daily, Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed
