Our vital and growing firm is searching for an experienced Laborer with a clean NYS Driver’s License; to

perform a variety of manual duties to support plumbing crew.

Responsibilities:

Perform in all aspects of laborer work, including but not limited to:

%CF; Complete and submit DOT logs daily

%CF; Check load and complete pre and post trip safety inspection per DOT requirements

%CF; Keep trucks clean inside and out, and check inspections and registrations for compliance

%CF; Report any issues or incidents to supervisor

%CF; Load and unload cargo, must be able to lift 80 pounds

%CF; Operate vehicles in a safe manner

%CF; Perform work outdoors at construction sites dealing with inclement weather

%CF; Excavation by hand

%CF; Use hand and power tools, performing grade checks, jack hammering, cuts and fills

%CF; Clean up vehicles / equipment

%CF; Work at a fast and hard pace

%CF; Wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

%CF; Understand Balkan’s health and safety practices and DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations

%CF; Compliance with All Policies including: Safety, Safety, Safety!

Skills and Qualifications:

%CF; Valid New York State Driver’s License; clean driver’s license and good driving record

%CF; Able to handle physical workload - able to lift 45 pounds and 75 pounds or more with assistance

%CF; Able to break concrete, dig for sewer / water line repair and new installation

%CF; This is a safety sensitive position, a drug and alcohol test will be required

%CF; Strong work ethic
