Front Desk Coordinator- Stone Mountain
Job Description
Phoenix Ortho is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical office, enjoys leading by example, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.
As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while supporting the daily operations of our front desk team. In addition to providing outstanding customer service, you will assist the Practice Office Manager with staff scheduling, front desk workflow, and coordination across multiple practice locations.
Key Responsibilities.
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using Care Cloud.
- Assist with patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, and registration.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical patient records.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, correspondence, scanning, and filing.
- Monitor and maintain front office supplies and organization.
- Assist the Practice Office Manager with coordinating front desk operations across multiple locations.
- Develop and maintain front desk staff schedules to ensure appropriate daily coverage.
- Respond to staff callouts and make real-time scheduling adjustments as needed.
- Communicate scheduling updates and operational information to front desk staff and leadership.
- Assist with onboarding and training new front desk team members.
- Serve as a resource for day-to-day front desk operational questions and escalate concerns when appropriate.
- Track scheduling, attendance, and coverage issues and communicate them to the Practice Office Manager.
- Foster a positive, patient-centered environment while ensuring efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical front desk, receptionist, or admin role preferred
- Experience using Care cloud or a comparable electronic medica record (EMR) system preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Medical Records experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
