About the Role

We're hiring a Quality Technician/CMM Programmer-Operator to run dimensional inspection on aerospace-grade components using Coordinate Measuring Machines and PC-DMIS software. This is a hands-on precision measurement role at the core of our quality operation, you'll program CMM routines, inspect parts against tight tolerances, and verify conformance on tubes, tooling, fixtures, and machined components.

Alongside your CMM work, you'll also take on calibration and tool crib responsibilities, keeping our gages and measuring equipment certified and our tool inventory organized. If you want a role centered on CMM programming with room to build broader metrology skills, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Calibrate, certify, and verify gages, micrometers, calipers, indicators, and check fixtures
  • Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (Hexagon CMM) using PC-DMIS Quindos software
  • Inspect tubes, tooling, fixtures, gears, and machined components for dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure traceability to NIST standards
  • Manage tool crib inventory — issuing, tracking, and maintaining tools and equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Support internal and customer audits and AS9100 compliance activities
  • Investigate nonconformances and help drive corrective actions

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED (required); associate degree in a related technical field a plus
  • 2–3 years of experience in calibration, metrology, tool crib operations, Hexagon CMM operation, or quality inspection (aerospace/manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Comfortable with measuring instruments and willing to learn Hexagon CMM/PC-DMIS Quindos if not already experienced
  • Strong attention to detail and solid documentation habits
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios, tolerances)
  • ASQ CCT/CQT certification or Hexagon/PC-DMIS training a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and pass periodic vision exams to ensure measurement accuracy. Work is performed in a combination of tool crib, inspection lab, and manufacturing floor environments.
