Lima Senior High Primary Care Giver/FSW Float

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Primary Care Giver/FSW Float based at our Lima Senior High location. This position is a 40 hours per week, 12 months a year.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potentialby assisting children with self-help skills, focusing on building positive relationships with the childrenand families and using an approved developmentally appropriate curriculum which promotesroutines and social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
2. Provide day-to-day care in the infant and toddler classroom.
3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, andprovision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services PerformanceStandards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources,providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services.
5. Must be physically able to actively participate with and supervise children at all times, interacting at
child-level on the floor, ensuring a developmentally appropriate classroom.
6. Float positions require moving between classrooms as needed per day, including traveling toanother site to perform the same responsibilities as needed.
Requirements include:
MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED. Candidate MUST possess acurrent CDA certification. Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, CommunicableDisease, CPR, and First-Aid must be maintained.

Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle
during working hours preferred. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into
program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
