DELI ASSOCIATE

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service, make product recommendations, and answer questions.
• Prepare food for customers, including slicing deli meats and cheeses, making sandwiches, and pricing and packaging items.
• Learn about new deli items and menu options quickly.
• Unload daily deliveries and makes sure the deli display cases are organized and fully stocked with fresh food.
• Use portion scales and point-of-sale systems to price items and complete transactions.
• Operate all deli equipment according to safety guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces, including meat and cheese slicers, deli display cases, and utensils.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from managers.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Able to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting.
• Collaborate with deli team members and helps other departments as needed.
• Communicate effectively, speaking multiple languages is a plus.
• Enjoy working with customers.
