Full-Time
Salary: Up to $130,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Risk & Education to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a passionate nursing professional who excels in clinical education, quality improvement, risk management, and developing strong nursing teams.

The ADON – Risk & Education will work closely with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, staff education, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with oversight of daily nursing operations and clinical services.

  • Develop, coordinate, and provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.

  • Lead orientation programs and ensure new employees receive appropriate clinical training.

  • Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with facility policies, CMS regulations, and state requirements.

  • Identify educational opportunities based on quality metrics, audits, incidents, and clinical trends.

  • Support infection prevention initiatives and promote best practices throughout the facility.

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.

  • Review incident reports, identify risk areas, and assist with developing corrective action plans.

  • Conduct clinical audits to ensure accuracy of documentation and adherence to care standards.

  • Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to nursing staff to promote professional growth and accountability.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Assist with developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

  • Previous leadership experience as an ADON, RN Supervisor, Nurse Educator, Infection Preventionist, or similar nursing leadership role preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state requirements, and survey processes.

  • Experience with clinical education, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to analyze clinical data and implement effective improvement strategies.

  • Passion for resident-centered care and developing healthcare professionals.
