Fee-for-Service Compensation

  • Initial Psychiatric Evaluations: $70–$90 per session
  • Follow-Up Medication Management Visits: $40–$60 per session

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered, and clinically skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing behavioral health team.

This position offers a flexible hybrid model that combines telehealth services with in-person care throughout New Jersey. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing support to individuals with a wide range of behavioral health needs.

Work Location & Schedule

This position offers a flexible hybrid model that combines telehealth and onsite services.

  • Opportunities available throughout New Jersey.
  • Providers may be asked to provide onsite services at partnering adult day care centers and community-based locations.
  • Multiple service locations are available throughout the state.
  • Onsite schedules are typically structured as half-day clinical sessions.
  • Telehealth services may comprise a significant portion of the provider's schedule.
  • Flexible scheduling options available.

Key ResponsibilitiesPsychiatric Assessment & Diagnosis
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments.
  • Obtain psychiatric histories and perform mental status examinations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and crisis evaluations when clinically indicated.
  • Diagnose behavioral health conditions utilizing DSM-5-TR criteria.
  • Assess co-occurring psychiatric, medical, and substance use concerns.
Medication Management & Treatment Planning
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications.
  • Order and interpret laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
Therapeutic Support & Patient Education
  • Provide supportive psychotherapy and other interventions within scope of practice.
  • Deliver psychoeducation to patients and family members.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support when appropriate.
Collaboration & Care Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in clinical case reviews and treatment planning discussions.
  • Coordinate referrals and connect patients to community resources and support services.
  • Support continuity of care across treatment settings.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and clinical standards of practice.

QualificationsEducation
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
Licensure & Certification
  • Active RN license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Active APRN license in the State of New Jersey.
  • Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Active DEA registration with prescriptive authority.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of PMHNP experience preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient behavioral health settings preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations preferred.
  • Experience providing telehealth services preferred.

Employment Structure & Growth Opportunities

All providers begin as 1099 Independent Contractors, offering flexibility while becoming familiar with our clinical programs, workflows, and patient population.

Following a successful 90-day review period, providers may be considered for transition into a part-time or full-time W-2 position based on:
