Certified Dietary Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage the dietary services department, including planning, organizing, and directing food service operations to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents, considering their individual preferences and dietary restrictions

  • Supervise and train dietary staff, including dietitians, cooks, and servers, to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of service and food quality

  • Coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure that patient diets are accurately implemented and that any special requests are accommodated

  • Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to continuously improve patient satisfaction and dietary services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dietary management role

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and staff

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification or planned completion of CDM program
