$22.15/HR / 40 HOURS PER WEEK

Washington County is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Judicial Assistant to join our Justice Court team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the judicial process by providing exceptional administrative and clerical support, assisting the public, maintaining official court records, and ensuring court proceedings run efficiently.

What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement
• Process court payments, fines, and legal documents
• Schedule hearings and maintain court calendars
• Prepare court documents, warrants, subpoenas, and case files
• Maintain confidential records and assist with court proceedings
• Support daily courtroom and office operations

• Communicates professionally with a wide variety of people
• Can effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a busy office
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Is comfortable working with technology and multiple computer systems
• Works well independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with course work emphasis in secretarial and clerical skills
• Two years of progressively responsible experience related to job description duties or three years for advanced levels
• Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to successfully pass required background checks for access to criminal justice information
