We are seeking a reliable and energetic Dietary Aide to join our team at Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, Kansas. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and appealing meals to our residents in a skilled nursing facility.
About the Role:
The Dietary Aide supports the dietary team in providing exceptional meal service to our residents. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with meal preparation, cooking, and serving food and beverages
Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, following food safety protocols
Adhering to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences, reporting any deviations
Engaging with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, addressing food-related concerns or preferences
Collaborating with other dietary staff, nurses, and caregivers to ensure seamless meal service
Following facility policies, health regulations, and safety procedures

Requirements:
Previous experience in a food service or healthcare setting is a plus, but on-the-job training will be provided
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical requirements: ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and handling hot and cold food items
Skills:
Basic understanding of food preparation and safety procedures
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality
